Slit Goods
The majority of the materials we fabricate are offered slit to width. Closed cell sponge, foams of all types, as well as cork, felt, and rubber are supplied in single rolls, common core multiple rolls, and in spools.
Capabilities
Slitting tolerances are related to the material being cut, however, on average +/- 0.020" is typical.
Roll length is also related to material type and thickness but for maximum productivity due to downtime reductions, spooled material offers the advantage over rolled goods.
- Weather-stripping
- Seals between metal panels and doors
- Window and door manufacturing
- Light, moisture and dust seals
Spool Winding
Rhopac Fabricated Products offers slit materials with or without adhesive backing in conventional rolls as well as multiple rolls side by side known as common core. We also have the ability to deliver slit goods to our customers in very long lengths wound on spools or reels. This type of put-up gives our customers a substantial reduction in change-over downtime resulting in greater productivity.
